About the Owner

Tina Brunkenhoefer has been collecting antiques for over 50 years.

Where did the name 'Something to Crow About' come from?

My love of chickens especially roosters, started when I was about four years old. My maternal grandmother had a small collection of chicken salt & pepper shakers that sat on a built-in shelf above her cook stove. Even at that young age, I told her how much I liked them and when she was gone, could she please leave them to me. Now my array of chickens numbers in the hundreds! Because everyone knew of my love for roosters and hens, on my 32nd birthday, my co-workers surprised me with a cake with a rooster on it that said " 32 is Something To Crow About!" That's when I hatched the idea to use Something To Crow About for my future business name. 40 years later, on October 2, 2023, we cut-the-ribbon on the first store front business of my own!
